The Challenge
Introduce and celebrate a $400M global cocoa sustainability program. CAA Branding Studio turned to Weill Media to help define and communicate Mondelez International’s $400 million cocoa sustainability program. Worldwide interest in cocoa production practices underscored the need for a carefully-considered approach.

Our Solution
Authentic Voices on a Journey. Weill Media understood the importance of proceeding in a transparent and genuine manner when representing the cocoa communities and the program’s goals. Our team suggested traveling to the villages to film the programs, and the benefiting population, in person. So Weill Media traveled to Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire in Africa to document farmers and community leaders, learn about early successes, and establish the program as “on a journey.” Weill Media developed copy for the program’s mission statement, core tenets, website, blog, social media, photos, and documentary-style videos.

The Results
Cocoa Life has achieved global recognition as a leader in sustainable farming, including many awards, and has expanded the program to many well-loved brands (including Oreo and Cadbury). The photographs Weill shot in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire now grace the walls (floor-to-ceiling) of the Cocoa Life conference room in Zurich.
